Privacy policy

Short version: anonymous usage analytics, your email only if you sign up for alerts, no ads, and nothing sold.

Analytics

We use PostHog (US cloud) to see which pages and links people use. It records page views, clicks on links and buttons, the referring site and UTM tags, and the events listed below. It sets a first-party cookie and a localStorage entry (named ph_…_posthog) holding a random ID, so repeat visits can be counted. Session recording is off. We never send your name or email to PostHog, and no person profile is created for visitors. As with any web request, PostHog receives your IP address and browser details.

Custom events: newsletter or alert signup (the form and the tool picked, never your email), outbound clicks (which vendor page), sponsor clicks, table searches (the search text), comparison views, news clicks and news filter use.

Cloudflare Web Analytics may also count page views. It is cookieless and doesn't track you across sites.

Email alerts

If you sign up, your email address, the tool you picked and a signup tag are stored by Kit (ConvertKit), which sends the emails. Each email has an unsubscribe link. To have your address deleted, email us.

Hosting

The site is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare handles requests and may keep standard logs and security data. The site has no accounts, comments or payments.

What we don't do

No advertising networks, no selling or renting data, no cross-site tracking pixels. Links to vendor sites are plain links; once you leave, the vendor's own privacy policy applies.
